Your blood brings life and removes waste as your heart pumps it all over your body; but it must have a “channel” (veins, arteries, etc) to do its work. Likewise with The Blood of Jesus Christ; It brings life and removes waste – but It MUST have a channel in which It works – and we are to be that channel!

THE CENTER PIECE
(Written by Gary Frazier : Adapted by Tom Mooty)
Physical death does not end human existence; and without a doubt, one of the most difficult teachings of God’s Word is the Scriptural Doctrine of the Resurrection. Usually the controversy deals with WHO will be resurrected and WHEN.
It becomes easier to understand if we realize that there are several resurrections in Scripture and the “WHO’S” and “WHY’S” then become quite clear.
They all fall under either one of two main categories: the FIRST or the SECOND resurrection. The First one involves Believers and the Second one involves unbelievers.
Further adding to the confusion is the fact that the “First Resurrection” occurs at several different times over a period of many years:
1. THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST becomes the “pattern” (“firstfruits”) for the First Resurrection.
2. THE RESURRECTION OF SELECTED OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS occurred during and after the crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus as a confirming sign that Christ was indeed the Messiah.
3. THE BRIDE OF CHRIST will be resurrected in conjunction with the Rapture of the living Christians. We are told not to grieve like the unsaved ones do for our saved loved ones because we will see them again at their resurrection.
4. THE TWO WITNESSES will be killed in Jerusalem and lie in the streets for 3½ days; and then the world will “witness” their resurrection.
5. THE MARTYRS OF THE TRIBULATION will be resurrected at the Second Coming of Christ in order to rule and reign with Him in the Millennial Kingdom.
6. OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS will also be resurrected near the end of the Tribulation Period in order to join in with the Church to reign with Jesus in the Kingdom.
There will be a final resurrection of the unsaved at the end of history; as the lost people of all the ages will be collected from the place of the dead (Hades) and brought before the Great White Throne where they will be condemned to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire.
The Resurrection of the “Just” is a comforting and reassuring promise for the Believer while the Resurrection of the “Unjust” is a promise of eternal suffering and separation for the unbeliever!
We can be assured that both resurrections will occur – to different persons at different times with different results!
